An Agent Crew That Scouts Companies
BizScout reads the web the way an analyst would, to surface the early-stage companies worth a second look. We designed the full agent crew and delivered its core as an MVP.
The problem.
Finding the next high-potential company is a reading problem before it is an investment one. The signals sit in filings, news, job postings, social accounts, and half-documented APIs. By the time an analyst has assembled them by hand, the window has usually closed.
The system.
We designed BizScout as a crew in two halves, with a conductor in front that turns one plain-language question into a work plan. The first half works the plan, and the second works on what it finds.
A data crew gathers. One agent interprets the brief. Others search the web and social accounts for candidates, extract text from pages and documents, and pull from structured sources through their APIs.
A decision crew judges. An analyst scores what came back, a reporter writes it up, and a critic agent reviews the analysis before a person sees it. The person who asked then marks up the report, and that judgment flows back into the crew.
In operation.
The MVP delivered the core of that design: the conductor, the web searcher and the scraper from the data crew, and the reporter from the decision crew. One question goes in, and a written report on the candidates comes out.
The engagement closed at the MVP stage, before production. Its R&D continues in-house, and we are now productizing BizScout at full speed.
